English – German
Translation Editing Proofreading
Things to take into account:
With regard to the layout of the original text, please bear in mind that the German translation will usually take up more space than the English version. Try to be a little bit generous when allocating time for the translation of your material. The normal daily workload is about 2000 words (research, translation, editing, proofreading). This may vary depending on type and format of the text.
To assist in the translation process and ensure consistent use of terminology, it would be very helpful if you could make available any existing drawings, images, previous translations, mono- or multilingual glossaries etc. Sometimes contact details of a knowledgeable person may also come in handy.
